Various 14 Jan 00 Geochelone elephantopus Strip of four se-tenant stamps w/ a label in the center of the strip. The tortoise is depicted on all four stamps but not on the label. The tortoise depicted is "Mr. Turpen", one of five Galapagos Tortoises brought to Pitcairn by Irving Johnson, skipper of the Brigantine, "Yankee", between 1937 and 1951.
