Turtles in upper margin are all sea turtles (living and extinct) except for one freshwater turtle.

The Scott number (2919) actually refers to one vertical strip which does not have a turtle. The sheet of two vertical strips has the Pokemon character "Squirtle" in the left margin. Scott does not list the sheet of ten.


LIBERIA

Scott stopped listing Liberian stamps issued after August 1999 because there was no postal service in that country, but they have resumed listing them.

CHF1.30 03 Feb 06 Sculpted Tortoises Celestial sphere, a sculpture by artist Paul Manship at the UN headquarters in Geneva. The sphere is supported by four tortoises that are difficult to discern on the stamp because the image is a hologram and therefore not sharp. Pictures of the sphere from other sources clearly show that the small figures are turtles. Stamp inscribed "Salutations des Nations Unies". UN symbol in upper left corner. Pictures of the sphere from other sources (e.g. - www.celestialsphere.ch) clearly show that the small figures are turtles.
