SC 2381 80ch 19 Jun 84 Tortoise Ship Miniature s/s of one stamp. The stamp depicts Scott North Korea #2305a which shows a tortoise ship. It also depicts a large German sailing ship below the stamp-on-stamp. Both the stamp and the selvedge of the sheet contain the logo of the Zum XIX Weltpost Kongress, held in Hamburg in 1984 and the symbol of the Universal Postal Union.

SC 4276 -9 Various 18 Feb 03 Tortoise Ship Booklet w/ a strip of six stamps (of four different designs) depicting ships. Tab at far right of strip depicts a tortoise ship. No turtles or tortoise ships on stamps -- only on tab.

SC 4309 Various 10 Jun 03 Unident. Freshwater Turt. Sheet of four stamps identical to the booklet pane from the "waterfall" booklet issued on the same date (Scott North Korea 4309 var.) but this sheet has a colored border and the word "Animals" inscribed in the upper margin, so it is not from the booklet. Small turtle at base of waterfall on 3w stamp and small turtle emerging from water below boar's snout on 150w stamp.

SC 4309 var Various 10 Jun 03 Unident. Freshwater Turt. Booklet of four stamps depicting many animals on cover and on stamps inside. Scott does not list the booklet so it is described here as 4309 var (variety) because the booklet pane is so similar to Scott North Korea #4309 (just lacking the colored margin and the word "Animals" in the upper margin). Two turtles on booklet cover (at base of waterfall and emerging from water at extreme right edge of cover). Two additional turtles on stamps inside of booklet (at base of waterfall and emerging from water just below boar's snout). Exists perf. and imperf.

SC 4466 Various 31 Oct 05 Stone Turtle S/S of three 35 won stamps, one 75 won stamp and three labels, all depicting buildings (temples?) or large golden religious figures. One of the 35 won stamps depicts a stone turtle supporting a vertical column. Margin of sheet is a photo of wooded hills.

SC 4466 b 35w 31 Oct 05 Stone Turtle Individual stamp w/ stone turtle from Scott North Korea #4466. Man's portrait in oval in upper left corner of stamp. Man's dates of birth and death are 1055-1101.

SC 4470 35w 18 Nov 05 Stone Turtles S/S of six 35 won stamps and six labels, all depicting various buildings (temples?) and monuments. Additional monuments and sculptures in sheet margin. One label depicts a small building w/ a path leading between two stone turtles, each supporting a vertical stone column. Turtles are facing directly toward viewer.
