Sad news:

Don Riemer passed away suddenly on June 13, 2012, at the age of 78. He began compiling this list of the world's turtle and tortoise stamps over forty years ago, and it has been online since 1998. He enjoyed corresponding with the many friends he made in the turtle stamp community over the years, and he will be greatly missed.

He had prepared the June 2012 update before his death, and that is now posted here. The site will remain online for the foreseeable future, but will likely become outdated as new stamps with turtles are issued.
